We Love You Pastor Ed Morales

On October 3, 2011, the Lord called our Elder/Pastor Ed Morales home. Born and raised in Fullerton, California, Ed grew up in the beautiful Orange County. He served his country in the Vietnam conflict from 1970-1972. In the fall of 1975, Ed was reached by the ministry of Victory Outreach International where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He then entered into the Victory Outreach Christian Recovery Men’s Home. Later that year at a youth retreat, he met the love of his life, Mitzi. They married in February of 1977. At the very first Victory Outreach International Conference, he heard the voice of Jesus call him by name to go to San Jose to start a church and build a ministry. On July 1, 1979, Victory Outreach San Jose was founded.

Pastor Ed Morales

Pastor Ed was a very unique man who had his own style and was not afraid to be himself. His passion was to preach the Gospel through out the world. His most famous words were with a clinched fist overhead and a very unique yell as he would declare, “WE’RE GONNA TAKE THE WORLD FOR JESUS!” Pastor Ed’s style of Evangelism was also very unique. He reached the masses through dramas, books and movies. His life was lived intentionally as he modeled what it meant to be a servant leader and a man of prayer. He believed his most important value was to honor and be loyal to Pastor Sonny, his spiritual father, and to the vision of building Victory Outreach International.

Pastor Ed Morales and Mitzi

His love for God and his loyalty to Pastor Sonny enabled him to be faithfully committed to planting, establishing and helping equip churches all over the world. Over the course of 32 years in ministry, Pastor Ed helped to equip, train and prepare numerous Pastors, Ministers, Evangelists and Home Directors throughout the Ministry. The power of this one surrendered man affected the entire world, and his passion resonates in our hearts.

Elder/Pastor Ed was a faithful general, loving husband, adoring father and a compassionate pastor. Most of all, Pastor Ed loved Mitzi, his soul mate, his back-to-back partner in ministry and in life.

His love for her was evident to all who had the privilege to know him.
